Limback Named Offensive Player of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Junior Sadie Limback was named Summit League Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
"Sadie was fun to watch this weekend," said head coach Matt Buttermore. "Her performance is a result of her continually working to improve her game. She has been over .300 in efficiency more often than not this season, even with teams actively scheming to slow her down. When she is that efficient over a long period of time, some big matches like we saw this weekend are bound to happen."
Limback picked up her third career weekly accolade after totaling 5.43 kills per set and hitting at a .525 pace in two matches last weekend.
The Waverly, Mo., native hit .391 and had 13 kills in a sweep vs. North Dakota on Sunday before posting a career-high 25 kills with a .605 hitting percentage in a four-set victory on Monday.
The 25 kills are the third-most by a Maverick in the DI era while the .605 hitting percentage ranks fifth in the DI era charts.
The Mavericks continue Summit League action this weekend with a pair of matches at Western Illinois on Sunday, Feb. 28 and Monday, March 1 in Macomb, Ill.
