O'Connor Named to AVCA's Thirty Under 30 List

OMAHA, Neb. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association named Omaha Volleyball assistant coach Kelly O'Connor to its Thirty Under 30 Awards List on Monday.
O'Connor was one of 31 recipients named to the 2021 Thirty Under 30 Awards List. This award was created in 2009 to honor up-and-coming coaching talent at all levels of the sport. To qualify for the award, nominees had to be younger than 30 years old in 2020 and an active member of the AVCA.
O'Connor joined the Omaha staff in spring 2019 and has served as an assistant coach for the past two seasons.
Before joining the Mavericks, O'Connor was a video coordinator at Nebraska during the program's national title run in 2017 and runner-up finish in 2018. Prior to Nebraska, O'Connor was a graduate assistant for two seasons at Hastings College and helped the Broncos to a national title in 2016.
As a player, O'Connor was a two-year starter and tied the school record for career triple-doubles at Dickinson State. She began her collegiate career at Great Falls College in Montana and later was a student assistant at Dickinson State in 2014.
