Cuevas is Tabbed All-Region

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Gonzalo Cuevas was one of 10 Summit League Players tabbed United Soccer Coaches All-Region Tuesday morning. Cuevas was the lone Maverick to be recognized, and he was named Third Team All-West Region.
It marks the first All-Region honor for the sophomore defender.
Earlier this year, Cuevas earned all-conference nods. He was named to the All-Summit Second Team and All-Newcomer Team.
Cuevas played and started in 15 matches this season logging over 1,200 minutes as a defender. He has one goal and three assists to combine for five points. Cuevas recorded a season-best two assists in the season opener vs. Rutgers. His first career goal came against Creighton. Cuevas helped the Mavericks to four shutouts this season.
