Volleyball Earns AVCA Academic Team Award

OMAHA, Neb. – For the 23rd consecutive year, the Omaha volleyball team earned the AVCA Team Academic Award, the organization announced Monday afternoon.

As a team, the Mavericks recorded a 3.53 GPA in the classroom.

The Team Academic Award, which was initiated in 1992-93, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that have displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team GPA on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.

Four Mavericks were named to the Dean's List and three to the Chancellor's List this spring.
