Jurgensmeier named Summit League Offensive Peak Performer

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Omaha volleyball junior Kali Jurgensmeier was named the Summit League Offensive Peak Performer of the Week, announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon.
Jurgensmeier is now the second Maverick to earn league plaudits this season as Emily Huss was named Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 8.
The Wahoo, Neb. native averaged 4.14 kills per set, attacking at a .284 clip in two matches (seven sets) last week. Defensively, Jurgensmeier contributed seven block assists, including four in the win at St. Thomas, to finish her week with 32.5 points, leading all Mavericks.
Jurgensmeier is fifth among all Summit League players in kills (152, 3.62 K/S) and ranks fourth in the league in points (4.21 per set).
Jurgensmeier and the Mavericks hit the road in their return to action on Sunday, Nov. 10 at Oral Roberts at 1 p.m. CT. Omaha returns to Baxter Arena on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. CT vs. Denver as the Mavericks. Tickets are on-sale now at OMavs.com/Tix.
