4 Mavericks Named to All-Academic Football Team
Four Maverick football players have been named to the North Central Conference All-Academic team by the league's sports information directors. Seniors Brad Borland, Gabe Meints and Justin Kammrad were named to the offense and senior linebacker Nick Sutko to the defense.
Four other Mavs earned honorable mention: Chad Westphalen, Dustin Donahoo, Brian Masek and Milan Gross-Rhode.
Borland, a psychology major from Cambridge, Neb., and Meints, a criminal justice major from Tecumseh, are linemen. Kammrad, a secondary education major from Council Bluffs, Iowa., is a tailback. Sutko, from Kearney, is majoring in civil engineering.
