Mavs Face 'Final Exam' in Saturday Game
Coach Pat Behrns and his staff will give the Maverick football team its final exam as spring practice ends with Saturday's 1 p.m. Spring Game at Caniglia Field. No admission will be charged to the game.
The Mavericks will divide into Red and White teams for the game-type scrimmage.
The Leo A. Pearey Awards, given to the most improved players in spring practice, will be presented during halftime of the game.
The Mavericks have 35 lettermen, including 19 starters back from last year's North Central Conference championship team that finished the season 8-3.
