National Champs to Arrive at UNO at 8
The national champion wrestling team is scheduled to arrive back on campus at Lee & Helene Sapp Fieldhouse at 8 tonight. Fans wishing to help the wrestlers and coaches celebrate their third straight national title are welcome to attend.
The Mavericks had three individual champions. Redshirt freshman Cody Garcia at 125 won his first, junior J.D. Naig, at 174 won his second in a row and senior heavyweight Les Sigman his fourth in succession.
Sigman was also named the meet's outstanding wrestler.
