10 Wrestlers Earn NWCA All-Academic Honors

The Mavericks added academic honors to their list of accomplishments in 2006. A total of 10 wrestlers, including seven on the first team, were named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic team. As a team, the Mavericks ranked third in the nation with a team cumulative GPA of 3.409.

The Mavericks won their third straight national championship March 11, with seven All-Americans and three national champions.
