Mendez Earns First Summit League Weekly Award

ELMHURST, Ill. – Omaha's Logan Mendez was named Summit League Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for his performances Sept. 14-20.
Mendez recorded his first career Offensive Player of the Week honor. In Saturday's double-overtime victory over Bradley, he played a part in all three UNO goals. Mendez scored the first goal of the match in the 27th minute. He assisted on the equalizer in the 87th minute and assisted on Felipe da Silva's golden goal with one second remaining in the second overtime period
Following play this weekend, the Mavericks are 6-1-0, which is the best start in school history. The Mavericks return to action on Saturday, Sept. 26 in Indianapolis, Ind. against IUPUI at 6 p.m. (CT).
