OMAHA, Neb. – Sophomore forward Diego Gutierrez earned Summit League Offensive Player of the Week honors, the league office announced Monday.
Gutierrez picked up his first career Player of the Week accolade. The sophomore scored two goals and had an assist to lead the Mavericks to a 4-1 win over Purdue Fort Wayne.
Gutierrez leads the Mavericks with 14 points on five goals and four assists this season and ranks in the top five of The Summit League in all three categories.
Omaha returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 3, welcoming Campbell to Caniglia Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
