Mavericks Earn No. 2 Seed in Summit League Tournament

OMAHA, Neb. – The field is set for the 2018 Summit League Men's Soccer Championship; the league office announced Saturday evening. No. 2-seeded Omaha is one of four teams set to compete at the tournament, Nov. 8-10, at CIBER Field in Denver, Colo.
Both semifinal matches will be televised on Altitude Sports and streamed live on The Summit League website. Saturday's championship match will be broadcast live on Altitude Sports and simulcast on ESPN3.
Omaha (6-7-1, 4-1 Summit League) earned the tournament's No. 2 seed and will face No. 3 seed Purdue Fort Wayne (10-7-1, 2-3) on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 5 p.m. (CT).
Thursday's first match puts top-seeded Denver (13-3-2, 4-0-1) against No. 4 Eastern Illinois (3-10-4, 1-2-2) at 2 p.m.
The winners of Thursday's matches will play in Saturday's championship contest at 4 p.m. CT with the victor earning an automatic bid to the NCAA College Cup.
Tournament Notes
• Denver, the defending regular season champions, is making its sixth consecutive Summit League Tournament appearance and fifth as the No. 1 seed.
• Omaha, the defending tournament champion, is making its fourth-straight appearance.
• Purdue Fort Wayne is making its fourth overall appearance and first since 2014.
• Eastern Illinois is making its third-straight appearance and fourth overall.
