Mavericks Earn No. 2 Seed in Summit League Tournament

OMAHA, Neb. – The field is set for the 2018 Summit League Men's Soccer Championship; the league office announced Saturday evening.  No. 2-seeded Omaha is one of four teams set to compete at the tournament, Nov. 8-10, at CIBER Field in Denver, Colo. Â
Both semifinal matches will be televised on Altitude Sports and streamed live on The Summit League website. Â Saturday's championship match will be broadcast live on Altitude Sports and simulcast on ESPN3.Â
Omaha (6-7-1, 4-1 Summit League) earned the tournament's No. 2 seed and will face No. 3 seed Purdue Fort Wayne (10-7-1, 2-3) on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 5 p.m. (CT).
Thursday's first match puts top-seeded Denver (13-3-2, 4-0-1) against No. 4 Eastern Illinois (3-10-4, 1-2-2) at 2 p.m.
The winners of Thursday's matches will play in Saturday's championship contest at 4 p.m. CT with the victor earning an automatic bid to the NCAA College Cup.
Tournament Notes
•   Denver, the defending regular season champions, is making its sixth consecutive Summit League Tournament appearance and fifth as the No. 1 seed.Â
•   Omaha, the defending tournament champion, is making its fourth-straight appearance.
•   Purdue Fort Wayne is making its fourth overall appearance and first since 2014.
•   Eastern Illinois is making its third-straight appearance and fourth overall.
