Men’s Soccer Announces Spring Matches

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's soccer team announced its four-game spring exhibition schedule on Wednesday.  The Mavericks will host two home matches and play two on the road.  The schedule features three games against NCAA Division I teams and one professional team.
Omaha begins its spring season this Friday, March 8 against Iowa Western. Â The match will be played inside the Omaha Sports Complex. Â The Mavericks head to Kansas City, Mo. to play the Swope Park Rangers on Saturday, March 30. Â Swope Park is a USL Championship club affiliated with Sporting Kansas City of Major League Soccer.
The Mavericks host UMKC on Sunday, April 7, at Caniglia Field. Â The Mavericks will be a part of Kicks for a Cure, an Omaha-based event that has helped raise more than $2 million for cancer research over the past decade. As part of the event, Omaha will take on Creighton Saturday, April 13 at Morrison Stadium.
Omaha has the option to add one more spring match. Â Any changes to the schedule will be posted on OMavs.com.
